Totals have been updated.

A new feature has been added this time: percentages for each type of coin, calculated as a percent of the total weight of silver found.
Folks, 400 pounds of silver has been found now!! I wonder how big a pile that would be if everybody dumped their finds into one pile?!

40%'ers found = 25,771 (3811.53 ounces of silver, 59.53% of total);
Quarters found = 295 (53.64 ounces of silver, 0.84% of total);
Dimes found = 847 (61.27 ounces of silver, 0.96% of total);
War nickels = 315 (19.44 ounces of silver, 0.30% of total);
Dollars (silver) = 6 (4.64 ounces of silver, 0.07% of total);
Dollars (40% Ike) = 4 (1.26 ounces of silver, 0.02% of total).
Non-United States coins:
Canadian dimes = 8 (0.55 ounces of silver);
British half-crown = 1 (0.50 ounces of silver).
Norwegian 50 ore = 1 (.0964 ounces of silver).
Italian 500 lire = 1 (0.2953 ounces of silver).
Panamanian 1/2 balboa = 1 (0.3617 ounces of silver).
(The foreign coins total 0.03% of total.)

Total silver bullion weight = 6402.60 oz (or 400.16 avoirdupois* pounds of weight);
Total value of silver = $85,666.83 using 10/6/2007's quote of $13.38 per ounce.

The total weight of silver recovered (as reported on that thread only) for 2006 was 182.71 avdp. pounds.
