90% halves - 2
40% halves - 25

Well I'm new to the board and have only been hunting about 6 weeks but here are my finds.

90% Kennedys - 6
40% Kennedys - 58
Walking Liberty - 2
Bens - 4

Well, these weren't exactly from CRH'ing, but a routine inquiry to my mother in law to let me search through her change while we were visiting her for Christmas in Wisconsin produced the following goodies:

Morgan dollars - 1879, 1921, 1921D;
Peace dollars - 1922 (x3), 1922S, 1923 (x2), 1925, 1926, 1926S (for a total of 12 silver dollars);

Walkers - 1943;
Franklins - 1963D;
90% Kennedys - 1964D (x2);
40% Kennedys - 1966, 1968D.

In addition, 35 wheaties (1937-1958).
After I asked permission to search her change, she thought for a moment and went to the bedroom. She began pulling change purse, after change purse, after change purse out of the drawer. We both started cracking up!

There was one more 1923 Peace dollar, but she wanted to keep it because it was the year she was born in. Who could refuse that?

I will be totaling up everyone's finds for 2007 one week from this weekend.

Bob - Hats off to you for taking the time & putting in the effort all year long to track and report the collective totals. Personally, I look forward to seeing your update each month and just gawk at the totals.....unreal!!! The 2007 collective totals will be tough to match, but........

December was a light silver month.........but it was a good year over all:

The final totals for calendar year 2007 have been updated. It's been fun (and rather startling) to find out just how much silver is out there. More than 512 pounds of silver, worth more than $125,000, as reported in this thread, has been recovered from circulating coinage. Mind boggling!

Happy hunting for 2008. A separate thread has been established for reporting your 2008 finds.

One favor to ask - if you find foreign coinage with silver content, please include the total silver content of each coin in ounces (to 4 decimal points if possible). That will make it a lot easier to determine how much silver to add to your account in my spreadsheet. Entries without silver content won't be included. Hats off to Immy and others for helping me out with the silver content of the foreign coins!

Individual silver coins will not be listed separately; a single line with the total weight will be updated with each month's finds.
