Silver vs clad S quarter question

I was going through a bunch of quarters this week and I came across two S proofs (2001 and 2003). They are pretty beat up. Is there any easy way to tell if they are silver vs clad? I have looked at some of the same date coins on eBay, and I really can't tell.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Look at the edge of the coin. If it's all silver then it's silver. If you can see a sort of two tone edge (silver and copper) then it's clad.
