Its silver! No doubt about it, i tried cleaning it up, it had some serious corrosion on it!!

Is this a solid piece, like a melted coin? Or does it appear to be hinged, like a silver locket?

I'm guessing the latter, as it doesn't look as solid to me as it should be.

Agree it is a locket, will need delicate cleaning. Nothing too harsh. That's what winter is for.

Well, I dint believe it is hinged, if it was at one time, its solid now!...Its very heavy, took it to a jeweler, he said its 100 percent silver. He said it looks like it was ina fire maybe. . .
