This is the first day it hasnt rained in 6 days , sun was shining so about noon I thought what the heck, I'm going hunting, and I am tickled I did.
I started out on a property I had previously found a barber dime at. Spent way to much time there, only found memorials then hit the little dime game piece. (Thought I had me a half dime for a minute when I pulled it out of the plug). The neighbors came out and wanted to yak yak, tell me all their treasure tales, wasted more time. Told them I had to go, went down the block to a place I had hunted before also but this is a HUGE yard. Hadn't been there 15 minutes and hit the first of (3) IHP, 1890, 1893, 1904. All these IHP were in the same area, not far from each other. Hit some more Memorials, quarter and clad. Worked my way up the yard and had a strong 12/45, 6". SWEET TONE ! I knew I had silver. Popped the 1906 Barber out of the ground. WAHOOOOO!!!! SILVER !!!!!
So I decided to work this area, about 40' x 40'. About 20' from the Barber I get another 12/46 about 8". SWEET TONE! You know what that means . Pulled out a 1939 MERC. Best merc I ever found, in EXCELLANT SHAPE. WAHOOOOO! (2) Silvers, AND INDIANS. Not far from the Merc I found a Wheatie, cant read the date, yet. Also found an old seal and an old lead sinker. (Thought it was a bullet until I got home and started looking at it.). So I have had a GREAT DAY, started thinking you know if I could find a ring that would just be icing on the cake. (I know, I'm greedy). Decided to walk into the back yard. Hit some clad, quarter, memorials. Got a 11/39 which is where IHP come in sometimes, dug it, out comes the OLD WEDDING BAND. I have found several of these type of rings in this area. I'm guessing copper with Gold plate, because you can see a hint of gold on some of them. Anyway, a RING, YAHOOOO. WHAT a great day. Beautiful weather. I found all the IHP in Coin Mode, +3, Fast On, Ferrous Coin. I switched to Silver Mode, +3, Fast On, Ground Coin when I hit the Silver and rest of the targets. CTX3030 ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
