Single Reed Harmonica?

[Curious The George]

I found this at an old home site yesterday. It is 1 1/2" long and 3/8" wide. It is made like a harmonica reed. Basically a brass frame with a brass reed mounted over a slot with a small iron rivet.

A fellow detector friend has found several of these, all associated with old home sites. Some he has found had a lead or pewter frame with a brass reed.

The home site could date back to the late 1700's but may have been occupied up into the 1900's.

It's an organ reed. There has been several discussion here about them. It should be marked in the "note" it made.
