Sinker weight or Geofact? What do you think?

I found this in a field where we hunt arrowheads a couple weeks ago. I figured it for a rock or maybe even a small geode, but then I saw where someone had posted pics of sinker weights, and were similar. What do you think? Thanks!

its just a rock
it would need a notch at both ends to be a sinker

The notch goes all the way around it.

If it came from a site that produces arrowheads/tools/evidence of ancient man, then I'd vote for a little weight or something, if it came from a stream bed or a gravely field with no other artifacts, I'd say geofact.

If you have a loop or scope, you should be able to see striations/polish in the groove indicating use.

I found it in the same field I have been hunting the last 2 months. I took it to a 55 year collector this morning that said it likely was used.
