Skateboard park

I took my grandson, who is 12, to the local skateboard park this morning. He wanted to go hunting with me and I knew his attention span was short so I wanted to go somewhere close. I was right, he didn't last 45 minutes and was ready to leave. I said ok and put my gear in the car. But... meanwhile he started finding a couple pennies and was ready to stay a while longer. We stayed about 20 minutes more. He ended up with 1 dime and 2 pennies and I ended up with 82 cents and a lot of junk. I think if he could have found a quarter he would have been happier. He didn't realize that you actually have to work to find stuff. Heh heh

I've been skateboarding for 9 years, have been trying my best to stop, but it's hard to do. I know some of those things you found. One is a inner truck washer, one is a outer truck washer, one is a truck nut, and one is part of a bushing frame.

Know what you mean about short attention spans... seems the children of today all have this to some degree.

My grandson who is 17 wants to be able to pick up a guitar and instantly play it. If he can not make a chord in the first 15 minutes then he thinks he will be unable to play and will never pick up a guitar again. Same with everything.
It is especially puzzling to me because I tend to be tenacious and simply not give up.

Don't let rmptr see that lime green pull tab for he will hunt you down to get it!

Those were good finds for the short time there.

Not one thing at the volleyball court although we did look there too. I don't have much luck with those but I look anyway just in case. :wink:

i no what you mean my little boy was 10 he whanted drums so i bout him a 300 dallor set he found out there hard to play his arms would get tiered but he still hounds me to take them back out but now the space isnt there but he love metal detecting with me and lissening to the story,the pic on this site. :thumbsup:
