Fall is my favorite next to spring. Didn't have much luck at my historic home site in a small village near me. Cursed fill dirt, although I did manage to detect a few wheats and a silver Roose between the sidewalk and street, 3 foot strip. I was digging memorial pennies at 5' deep.
Located another "invisible schoolhouse" and will try to gain permission.

That bites. I hate fill dirt. You need a good oldie coin fix Duane. Your due. Find a new old site and hit it hard. Was hoping by the sounds of that last place you would hit some neat oldies. Ya never know til ya go. Places like that usually give ya at least one oldie. Hey, ya got a silver outta the place. Keep on keepin on. Jim

Cool you for getting a rosie.

I was told about a house that was torn down, early 1900's, got permission to dig the site
only to find gravel and fill dirt every where. Was a total bust.

Good luck,
HH.
