Sucky. :(

Thanks for the post.

Well that was an eye-opener. I wonder how much of this knowledge the Discovery Channel had when they started following these so-called miners.
So they're not just idiot miners they are outlaw landlords too?
Well I'm tired of talking about those idiots.

How about those Seahawks!!!!
Man Pete Carol is doing it dudes!!!!!
I've been waiting for this for years.
:occasion14:

Im very disappointed with this kind of personal information being put put. I am glad you dont follow me around like you do the Hoffmans, we all do things that others find questionable. While the show has taken a wrong turn and lost most of its viewing audience. This is not acceptable behavior.

I had a feeling that the reason they went to Canada was due to not being allowed to mine in the US after their fiasco in Alaska.
When Canada kicks them out they'll probably head to South America or some such :tongue3:

Didn't they already do that as a single filler show last summer? Probably already scouting the next place to dig up for ratings.

'The Hoffman's were the owners and managers of the All States Motel in Portland, Oregon. The All States Motel, and others like it, used a legal loophole to operate virtually outside the law. By requiring residents to leave for one day every month, the owners of these 'no-tell' motels are able to keep their residents from qualifying for the full protection of Oregon’s Landlord-Tenant Act, which requires a tenant rent for more than 30 days consecutively.'

there ya have it, does it make it right? lets find out who passed the law,
I dfon't give a backend to nothing cuz i was a landlord once and i know what its like to get rid of a tenent who don't pay rent, guess what we got a lot of California freeloaders here

I don't know if they are good or bad, but this smells of a hatchet job. JMHO

No guts no glory! :)

I kind of figured that something wasn't right when the show first aired, but I figured someone came up with the idea to gold mine and then here comes the show.

@ CASCA, I don't follow the Hoffmans around!! I found the information posted on another gold forum. Fact is one decides to become famous or get your mug plastered all over the TV network, one better realize that all the skeletons in ones closet will soon be unlocked and let out!!

Problem is facts are facts, they were so broke?? Give me a break now!!! After all except Jacko owing about $60,000 in back taxes for ole Sandy Airport, which probably they didn't sell but was mostly likely siezed by the IRS!! But who knows? I am sure more dirt will come out about many of them, except the very minor few.

I wouldn't mind having and living in a $700,000+ home. Boy if I had money troubles like they claimed that would be the first thing to go, and I would pocket at least 1/2 of that!!!!!

Did I miss something? Where it says " Not such a good move, Jack. There’s no glory in that hole." were they talking about his wife?
