✅ SOLVED small brass casing ~ help!

I found this in a 1930's-40's dump site. It is very small 9/16 X 7/16 of an inch. Made of copper or brass. Too small for a lipstick tube.

Its from a telescopic cigarette holder. 40's maybe.
