Small "DROP" of Indians

at 250 year old church grounds.

1864 (soaking, but is L variety, but not visable :( Red book
says if the point of the bust is pointed, not round it's the L,
but the L must be visable to grade good :( )
1881
1888 (UPDATE after Cleaning it is actually 1883 )

2 were on one side of a Fallen tree.
the other on the other side.
'Lotta Brush there, Thought I had Wheats, So I
Didn't take my time and move tree, Brush, Limbs etc.

Just got home & realized what I have.

Guess I'll have to head back Monday.

Don't know on Pics, my Camera as you know is not good,
But once their clean I'll try.

I hope there was a Cache in that tree :P

Re: Small Cache of Indians

Congrats on the Indian Heads Jeff! It's always nice to have an after cleaning surprise like that. It's always tempting to do a little cleaning and dating a coin in the field.I hope that church site gives up some more nice finds for you. HH!

No Cache. I checked the area completly, no more coins.

My Buddy Rich got 2 Indians & a religeous Medal.
SHOULD HAVE LEFT HIM HOME :P
Just Kidding Rich ;D

I also Crawled in the Creek to detect for a Little.
Besides Getting wet, all I found was a

Aluminum Play 5
on one side : MLAND COIN (can't read beginning).
other side : 5

Tried to get Pics of Indians... No Go :(

Did get Pic of Play 5'er to work.

Jeff, the name on the play coin is GRIMLAND, and it dates from the late 1940's. The company was later taken over by Waco-Tex/Grove-Tex, who were the mfgrs. of the familiar UNCLE SAM play money. More info:

Thanks PBK . I tried But Couldn't Find Anything.
