I found this at an early log house site here in Texas. Any info on it would be appreciated.

From what I can see it says A.G. FAY POTTER & OLLIE // MASS POWDER WORKS

Found this A.G Fay Potter & Gilley can ..Are you sure yours says Ollie?

creskol, you are right! I brushed it a little more and noticed that it says, A.G. FAY POTTER & GILLEY

It is probably the screw top like in your pic.
