Small stream and Eagle

Went for a hike with my SIL yesterday. Straight down about a half mile to the bottom of the canyon where the stream was located. Was really feeling my age on way back out. Spotted the juvenile Bald Eagle on the way home.

Thanks old digger,

Always use a tripod with these kind of water pics. It was about a three second shutter speed. Also also use the camera's timer for shutter release so nothing moves.

I took the eagle picture hand held from the pickup window. With a fast shutter speed like 1/1250 helps to avoid blur due to camera shake.

I took a bunch of eagle pictures yesterday the same way, just shooting from the pickup window while stopped on the side of the road. If I get out and try to get closer, they fly away.
