"smalls" snake vertebrae

I was watching two certain "pickers"
and they.."the chubby one" used the term "smalls" a few times.
I though..hey I find them when I "pick" too.
No rust on these.

I have found whiteish ones of these in dry sand with some limestone on...possible here GB or another strike out?

Well.. When you say white"ish" the first thing I think of is non fossil and new... but that really depends on the mineral content of the material they came to rest in.
What I'm used to in Florida is black,brown,yellow"ish" and even some shades of blue and red depending on what bone bed they came from..or what river.
Are they hard as rock?
