Past few hunts. The wings were an eyeball find in my yard that I have detected forever, so is the golf button but underground. Can't believe I missed them. Any information on the wings? Love the pin! The Cascade is a local one from Victor that I have found before. Happy Hunting!!

I believe the wings are for the position of "Pilot" with that design being authorized 1919 through WW2. Very cool finds!

The wings would have screamed silver on a detector so maybe just too much stuff in the ground the machine couldn't separate?
If you are ever bored and want something to do, I suggest do some sifting around that area just for fun and exercise. Ya just never know. Grats and thanks for sharing up there!

Those are WWII US Airforce pilot wings, quite rare and expensive antique. Would have been issued after he completed flight training and worn on the uniform. I found a similar pair in 2019...
