Smoking Lincoln Cent

I met Smittyman for a Saturday morning hunt. We are almost done with the tear downs that have been yielding the silver coins. Neither of us found silver coins there this weekend.

Here is a pic of the (92) dirty coins that I dug.



Once cleaned, there were (3) Wheaties, (3) marbles and a sterling ring.



The silver ring showed up late in the day, and was a sight for sore eyes!



His bottom jaw is broken off, but that's OK... it's still a silver ring.



Lastly, I tumbled some clad ($87.00 in 2 months). Whilst looking through the cleaned coins for "S" mint marks, I ran across this Lincoln cent. I wonder what Abe has in that pipe!

Were you at work checking all those Lincolns? You need to after a couple months go back and look some more, I love that "hobo coin". You ever see those hobo nickles? Nice silva ring, your a tremendous digger. Congrats brother Tom.
