Any Ideas?

Heres the video I made on my channel on the hunt when I found this relic.

First off, anytime you can make a find with this much information on it is a bonus!
You didn't mention the dimensions, but it looks to be brass... likely part of a suspender strap/decorative buckle face.

Given the overall length of the building(?) highlighted by its central location on the badge, I would guess this has something to do with a railroad terminal.
In a quick Google search, I could not find a matching photo for such a terminal in San Jose, other than one photo of an unattributed station (maybe San Jose?) at the link / image below.

I can also make out "In the valley of heart..." on the badge. Maybe that's a slogan for the railway line? (A guess.)

Update: It must read "In the Valley of Heart's Delight".

Sterling silver-YT : I'm an hour south of San Jose. I dunno what it is, but I like it. It's dripping with age. Has that victorian / turn-of-century-ish look.

Anduril: Excellent sleuthing work. You are an asset to the forum !!

May be a rendition of the old city hall in San Jose. Probably a convention badge where the event information or "delegate" would have been on a piece of celluloid in the large square center of the badge. Cheers, Sub 8-)

To everyone else, these young fella's do bring some competiton to whatever category they enter items in. Glad to have them there, good guys, good for the hobby.

I think this is part of the Native Sons of the Golden West convention badge. There is one like it depicted here. Dated 1938. Top row, 3rd from right.

****4 3/4" Long x 1 1/2" wide yellow/orange satin ribbon - the brass name tag/pin is 2" wide. The pin has beautiful emboss says " SAN JOSE In the Valley of Hearts Delight - Santa Clara County " (picture of a building, grapes & pears). On the Ribbon is printed " NSGW San Jose 1938 ".
