Well I grew up in MI. near Lake Michigan. So I know what cold and snow really is also. I moved to TN. in 1994 but obviously I didn't go far enough south because it's cold here also (for us). And as far as the snowy owls.... their obviously smarter than those who elect to live in the north. That should be a clue to get your butt out of there!!!! If they go by me I'm following them.

Absolutely love the pic of the great snowy owl.
Only once in my entire life have I seen one in the wild, it was perched atop a pine tree with the top broken off, on a sunny day in Cadillac Michigan about 30 years ago.
I have a film pic that I will try and get from my mothers photo albums and digitize it, it was so majestic, it almost made me cry.

I was so distracted by the owl, I forgot my forecast lol

It's the Little ICE AGE that was "predicted" in the 70's, Global COOLING! I ALSO liked the Snow Owl; LOVE Owls... saw many of 'em up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Wife & I were looking at the 2014 OWL Calendar, recently... I told her, "Look at all those HOOTERS! The girls near-by began giggling, "boys" were snickering; wife was NOT amused... bought the calendar, ANYWAY.

Be glad for the "global warming!" Can you imagine how cold we'd be without it?

Treasure Hunter should enjoy this pic:

my guess as soon as temps rise above freezing in the north east,
we get a Noreaster storm of Snow, Ice & rain that makes Hurricane Sandy look like a spring Shower :(

Need any survival tips, let me know? I have many jars of preserved food, lots of firewood, smoked fish or meat to trade. :laughing7: I'll take beads made out of Gold only.

HA! Ship by UPS or FED X...?

We need more sunscreen, water and firefighting equipment out here in California. Global warming must be a real thing and, as usual, California is on the cutting edge.

You think it's cold now, watch the next 24-48 hours with blankets and someone warm.

Coldest weather of the season supposed to be on its way.
