I bought this boat off eBay last week, with the intention of parting it out.

Has a brand new motor...however previous owner let it seize up from sitting! Number 4 cylinder has rust inside, I have it soaking right now in PB...
It came with lots of extra parts, anchor, ect...
I paid $130 for it, I bought two new tires to get it home at $203.00 and $25.00 in gas
Let's see how I do on it. I have it listed locally on craigslist so we shall see...
If I don't sell in a week or so I'm going to part it out on eBay...

Sent from a spun out toilet paper tube (one ply)!

I just had a offer to pick up tomorrow for $500 off Craigslist...
Nah, I can do a lot better. Lol

Looks like a deal!! I think it would have followed me home too! My problem was? I liked to collect more than I sold!:laughing7: I think I'm past that stage now though!! Good luck! Looks like you will make out on that one!!:laughing7:

Yeah, my only hesitation with parting it out is how to get rid of hull?

Donate it to----http://www.boatangel.org/Florida-boat-yacht-donations.html. (this is just one of many)

You did great diesel, the trailer is worth what you got in it I would think.

Good Luck,

Engine

Yeah, trailer is awesome, drive is excellent, and the motor parts go for crazy money on eBay...for some reason. The hull is somewhat desirable as well. Hopefully someone will purchase complete and resurrect her...

If a real biatch to get off... oh gonna take more than just you btw... so bring a helping hand...
I have had to "tie off" onto other garbage and drive forward ::)
heh

BTW... not much demand for "bowrider" boats anymore.
They are a dead horse.

Easy fix...
Landfill...
Back in... push it off.

I wish I could, problem is the dump here requires it to be cut up into tiny pieces and they charge by weight....
I suppose a foggy dark night and a brush fire would work! Lol
Just kidding!

Around here people are all over Bowrider's
But I'm with you, I don't care much for them. I love my cuddy cabin I have. I really like having a place to get out of the weather...

I just was thinking, every spring the ymca here holds a boat auction to help fund its summer kids programs. I wonder if I could pull motor and outdrive, trailer it over there and slide it off into there auction area and drive away? That way boat would still look decent and I keep all the valuable stuff?

Advertise the whole package on craigs... or do multiple listings... one for "boat no trailer cheap"....
And one for "trailer" "must take boat"...
Then "boat and trailer".

This is the easiest solution to your problem... errr not really a "problem"... but you know what I mean.
This way...
The whole package rolls away.

Season is approaching Diesel...
As it gets closer... your buyers will increase.
No rush.
Advertise ... $1150... take $1000

I have it listed as a package, but a little hesitant to let trailer go in case I need to move it... Like to the ymca
I just emailed the lady in charge of the boat auction at the ymca and described it to her. I'll see what she says. It would be awesome if it solved my problem and they could get something out of it to...

Oh and PS....
Clean it up...
Stock the boat complete...
Anchor... Life jackets etc...
IF none already... Yard sales / flea markets are you answer.

Complete packages are far more desired.

I put it on craigslist for $850 yesterday, already turned down offer for $500
Yup, your right. The season is approaching!

No... DO NOT sell the trailer out from under the boat... EVER.
Mistake #1...
They buy the trailer... they get a free boat :)

It actually still shines, maybe I'll buff it too. It came with anchor, lines, air horn, first aid kit and some tools and extra parts.
I kept the gear pullers, and new parts as the parts are about $75.00 worth on eBay. Their no longer available new. But I have some! Lol

Yup that's what I was thinking! Lol

The parts alone are worth some money. Is the outdrive a cobra or mercruiser? Strange that water got into the cylinders just sitting. Did it get hydrolocked or is the block cracked?

They say that a boat is a hole in the water you throw money into. Another saying is boat means Break Out Another Thousand.

I actually have 4 now. I think my open bow is a perfect dive boat for inland lakes here and I have a cabin cruiser for the great lakes. Great way to get to places that are off the charts for other detectorists.
