So...I bought a boat!

Ok, the boat I was going to look at next is gone...but I found another one. We will see!

Yeah, I'm kinda thinking about selling the king quad I bought last fall. It should turn a great profit if I do!

I found in the past, a few weeks before Christmas is a great time to buy stuff like that. In the north people are laid off, and also need bill and Christmas money that time of year. Then spring comes and prices shoot back up even on junk.

Yeah, it's funny how people work. I love getting deals!
Did you see the video of the first start I did on the king quad? It runs sweet now I rebuilt the carb. Funny it was sold as having a "bad" motor!

Great job on that one DieselRam.

Ok, I've found another boat. 19' Larson all running and in one piece. Faded really bad, but I believe I can clean it up nicely. The owner is holding it for me, I'm going to get it on Saturday...

That's awesome. Found any trucks lately?

I actually haven't looked. Now my busy season is over I think I may look soon though. I have turned down a few odd ball things though. As in old uncommon diesel motors.

Man, when it rains it pours! I changed out a leaky wheel cylinder today in the old Dodge. I haven't driven it in a couple weeks so I thought I'd get it ready to go get this boat. Well took it for a ride and the alternator went out! I've been suspicioning it's been loosing a diode for awhile...turns out I was right. Now off to get the boat in the morning!

I paid $1000 for it all running. It needs a gimbal bearing...which I happen to have s spare one just kicking around by chance and some small tinkering. I'm going to list it on craigslist for $2995 but I'm going to take at least a few weeks to get it listed...

I did turn down a f150 4x4 yesterday...it was quite rusty and beat. The fords just don't seem to be in much demand for parts. Lots and lots of them in wrecking yards. The dodges are very scarce in the yards...

What model was it? 1973-1979 fords do very well.

It was a mid '90's ford . With my knee Bering what it is and the severity of rust, I let that one go.
Your right though, the 1973-1979 fords do really well!
My buddy still has a 1978 f150 we put on a 1976 f150 4x4 frame back in high school. Truck was a 2wd originally his dad had bought new. It still has only about 60,000 miles on it. He keeps offering it to me as it had sat for about ten years inside his shop taking up space. It's a 302 four speed with the granny low. One of these days I might just take him up on it! Lol

That's a dang nice boat for $3,000. In this area, I figure it'd run about double that!! ...But you'd have to sell it late-Winter to early-Spring. Got long winters here!!

Hopefully it will be on craigslist in a couple weeks. I don't want to hold it long.

Should be all together this weekend and lake tested. I'm ready to sell this one!
