Solid Statues dug up in backyard

Statues stand 220mm high, weigh 2.6kg, look Medieval.
Caped & Hooded with sword at left side
Found 2 of them, the one on the left in the picture has been cleaned, the one on the right is as found.
I live in Victoria, Australia
would love to know where they come from & what the figure is

I know that sometimes people bury St. somebody (sorry can't remember who) in their yard to help sell their house, maybe this is related to that type of custom? If not, still pretty cool to dig those up in your yard!

That would be St. Joseph and I doubt these represent him! Maybe Don Quixote?

no markings that I can find, this no Saint! looks more like the devil:)
Looks a bit like Don Quixote, but is hunched over with arms wrapped around himself and too evil looking
