Wondering about this item, brass, about 3-1/4"
it has a hole with no threads, terminates about 1/2" inside.
thought gas light fitting when found, but no apparent hole in 'acorn' end.
too small & frail for coathook. (I think)

My first thought is that it is a curtain stay, where you can pull the curtains back and they stay drawn...if that makes any sense.

I'm sure the piece is designed with the 90' Bend,
the curtain stay & key hook are sounding good.
I have to find a site selling Victorian era hardware, I'm sure there is something similar
size & design out there :thumbsup: HH!

Can you post a "similar design" curtain tieback because I dont see one? The picture you posted is coat hooks. :icon_scratch: These have been posted here before and I believe the consensus was coat hook or wall hook but Id have to search.
