Solved: Victorian Brass Buckle

[BobinSouthVA]

Found along with a bunch of other decorative items.

Looks like it would slide onto a belt or strap. slight bend on one side

Any Ideas?

sure looks like it to me. and the backs on the pictures on the web have the same sort of bar attachment, like something to slip through it. Unless it was meant to slide onto a belt? Going to try and get it straightened out.

Well I did say I was just guessing. Thats one of the better IDs I have seen with no manufacturers marks to google.

I see they list it as a buckle but it looks more like a cape clasp attachment. I guess its an unusual womans buckle. GreatID

I too would have green checked on the concho scarf slide I was searching buckles when by chance I recognized this item. Yeah cape clasp or sash buckle
