Any of them that you folks recommend that have nice maps. Trying to find a book that explains the LDM in the context of the geography (for those of us who don't know the mountains as well!)

There really isn't one Oro22. What you have to do is get to know the mountains, then read the books and figure out what area they are talking about. The Superstition Search and Rescue website has some awesome maps with the trails all laid out. Download them and read the books. You'll learn.

As is the case with most Dutch Hunters, many already have a huge assortment of those books. Many can easily be found by searching for "Lost Dutchman Mine" on Ebay. Also, digital downloads of most all the known LDM Maps are available from several places.

But like Randy said, nothing beats acquainting yourself with the mountains before getting into solving the LDM.

or quiz ole decjuicie 5. He has plenty of 'foot on the ground' experience on the LDM and is comepletely reliable

So is ole wobbly Gullum, among others.
