Had today off and thought I'd get some work done around the house but I woke up at 5:30 a.m. and decided to see what everyone had been finding lately. After a few minutes I couldn't stand it and had to get out for awhile. I had been wanting to go behind my house in the woods for quite sometime. Supposedly their was a copper mine there during the civil war. I had just turned my machine on when it started to rain and boy did it rain. :-\ I was glad I was protected a little from the trees. About fifteen minutes into my hunt I found the massachusetts button and then shortly after the eagle button. A little while later I found the bullets all close together and was starting to head back because I was now soaken wet when I found the New York button. My backyard had been keeping the flat button. I guess all in all it was a great hunt so thanks to everyone that had posted in the past couple day's that made me want to get out there and swing my machine today...Happy 4th of July Everyone!!!!

Monkeyboy, All three were cuff buttons and two of the three I could still read the benchmark on the back. Thanks for your reply and have a great 4th of July weekend.....

Really nice digs! Those buttons sure held their gilt nicely. I would be back there as soon as the rain let up! Congrats!

Dang TC, awsome buttons! I'd love to hunt in those woods. ;D
Nice variety for sure. That weave pattern flat button is an unusual looking one. Never saw one like that.
Thanks for the post,
MM

Looks like some super nice "stuff" Those buttons are in great condition and the bullets are goodins. The 2 bigger bullets look like sharps carbine and the smaller one is a sharps slanted breech. You might be in a great area for C W "stuff" Happy hunting.

"may there always be a road"

Excellent buttons!

Man they are in great shape... nicely done!

I think that weave button is part of a bracelet... are the holes off center in the middle?
