Nice finds! That first picture looks like a burin tool to me. Looks like you made some great picks to me! Thanks for sharing! 8-)

That first one is a very nice flake blade with a graver (curved section). Very Nice!

The bottom two rows in the last picture look like hide scrappers to me but I am not sure if those were ever made out of obsidian.

Got a nice tool set there Kat.

Nice finds and they are like the others said tools. You can see flaking done on the edges.:notworthy:

rockheadhunter....thank you and "burin"? Got to look that up.

old digger....great info:icon_thumleft:...now I'll have to go look up what a "graver" was used for...hope not for graves..:o

Hot zone....:laughing7:...yes, looks like that.

outlaw....it does...and back then they probably did have to do some kind of "surgeries" on boo-boo's...so who knows right?

intensecrasher....obsidian scrapers? Don't see why not, they are super sharp.....right monsterrack?

rock...:icon_thumright:...."tool set"....now I need a tool box! :happy11:

monsterrack....thank you! Sharp stuff right?

Burin and graver can be used interchangeably. I believe the burin can have more curvature than the graver. Both are chisel-like tools used for wood, hides or bone.
