I've been working 4/12's so been trying to get in a couple hours before work. I hit a lot in town on Sunday I had permission to hunt (saw Kickback and had a nice chat, good to see he weathered the winter) and managed to find 5 pennies (2 wheaties) and a dime. I threw the dime on the counter to clean it when I got home and heard that sound, and it turned out to be a 1948S so I was pleased. Yesterday I hit the vacant lot down the street from my house. The kids were at school so managed a couple of hours there, dug pounds of junque, and 2 wheaties and some clad. Still hankering for a fix, I loaded up my faithful companions, the dynamic schnauzer duo, and headed for Canada. Managed to find 1 loonie, 4 quarters, 5 dimes, 6 pennies and 1 lone nickel that drove me bonkers. Canadian nickels & dimes are a bugger, I started digging a good signal, then it just quit! Managed to find the nickel in the plug tho. Several of the Canadian pennies were older, a 1940, 1941, & 2-1951's. Managed to find 1 silver, a 1941 dime, and also my 2nd ring. Little bitty bugger, the wife thinks it's gold, I'm not so sure, but it was nice to find.

Now I have to find some new spots, the old reliables are getting kind of picked over. Thanks for looking, and take care friends...

Sounds like you had fun and got some goodies too! Congrats! I am sure the dynamic schnauzer duo enjoyed it too! ;D

Need some pictures I would have loved to see some Canadian Silver.

Keep @ it and HH!!

Funny you should mention that about Canadian coins. I dig Canadians quite often here in Michigan. Yesterday I was working the slopes of some sand dunes where people sled and ski and I got a fairly weak quarter signal. I pinpointed it and dug some sand out and then ran the coil over the hole and nothing. I moved the coil around the area and still nothing...the signal was gone. I look around and I see just barely the side of a coin sticking up through the sand. I run my coil right over it and still nothing. I pull it out and it is a 1999 Canadian Quarter. My coil couldn't see it standing on edge only when laying flat. Makes me wonder how many coins I walk right over.
