i have a question for you. someone once gave me a gram of panned platinum once. what is a gram of very small platinum nuggets worth?

For pure platinum, devide the spot price by 31.103 to get the gram price. If this is panned material, it won't be pure, so I'd figure on a 22.5 K average on the high end. So, you take one ounce troy, devide by 31.103, and then multiply by .9375 (22.5K) to get the real value. Hope this helps.

A gram of panned nuggets is worth more than spot value if they can be used in their natural state by a jeweler to make some sort of interesting piece... of course, then someone has to like it enough to buy it!

I got over spot price years ago for my Au nuggets that were of nice size for jewelry.
It's got to be the same for platinum.

Hello everyone!

Thats some nice fossils!
In a island that is fairly close we can find some fossils to, even though I don't hunt often there I know you can find:
Ammonite, Trilobite & Belemites those are the ones I know to be found there though probably more fossilized species can be found there.

DD-777:

I like Agate, even though it is common it comes in many looks and shapes.

Black opal, every piece is unique, just as us humans....This makes it very awesome to look at especially if they got some "fire".

Most of my rocks are rough, though I got some polished & tumbled.
