Hi. It is my first post. I've got Whites Prizm III as the Christmas present from my wife. For the first attempt I tried a local old park and first found one wheats penny and birth record spoon for Molly born 13/4/53. I did return to that park ones more and found a 1946 dime.

Today I felt lucky (even took my digital camera with me) and returned to the same park again. In 1.5 hours I found 2 wheats and when I was ready to leave I've got a strong 50 cent signal at 4 inches. After digging I saw two silver quarters and walking liberty half dollar. There were also three wheats in the same hole.

That's one awesome spot! Great job!

I'm new to the forum here too, but I've been detecting for about 8 years and I've got exactly 2 silver half dollars! You should consider yourself quite fortunate and you definitely need to search that spot some more! If it's never been searched before you could really turn up some more good finds! And if it has, the previous folks missed that spot you found and surely missed others! Good luck and I look forward to hearing more from you!

Good lord !!!! That is one heck of a good month !!!! I haven't gotten a half of any type yet. The world(especially Wisconsin) needs more parks like that !!!

That'll keep you coming back! Very nice. You're hooked now and there is no turning back! HH!

;D Welcome to TNet Fikys, and what a nice entry you've made too...lb

Well, I'm sure it was a Merry Christmas with that kool Prizm III and now it's a real Happy New Year, with al that beautiful treasure. 8) Now that's the way to do it buddy, you must be a quick study or something... ;)

Thats a beautiful picture. I love seeing the coins in the hole, gives me chills!

LOVE those chilly shivers when the trove is revealed to your own ever widening eyes, eh? Nothing like it.

I also agree with DrDetector in his thread, about two old halves in one area like that is a REAL good indicator of much more action to be had in that old ground there, my new wand swinging friend. So yup, it looks like a good candidate for more of your furure free time, to be sure, buddy. Congrats on the fine coins and the great photographs too. I know we are going to see more of you in here, so feel free to participate in the forums anytime, we're all glad to have you aboard, Fikys!

Friends in THunting,

Outstanding finds. I see you're in Illinois. Must be in the Southern end of the state. I'm so jealous. Up here in the North we are frozen in, and I'm getting a bad case of cabin fever.

I'm actually in Urbana-Champaign area. It was warm last Friday and that is why I was able to dig on Saturday. Sunday is chilly again :(

Thanks everyone for nice welcoming! I hope to be able to find more interesting stuff and publish photos here...
