SOME SKIMPY FINDS(Floor Safe Lid ??)

HAVE WORKED MOST OF THE PASSED 6 MONTHS AND HAD NOT MUCH TIME TO HUNT.

HERE IS WHAT I HAD FOUND IN GEORGIA AT A RIVER BANK, THE LID WAS 8 INCHES

DOWN AND I AM NOT SURE WHAT IT WOULD OF BELONGED TOO ? THE LID IS

8 INCHES IN DIAMETER.

The lid doesn't look familiar, but the sweat of deep digs rings a bell.

Not to skimpy in my book. You got out and did some hunting, that's all that matters! On some of the old, old paddle lock the manufactures made some with lids very much like the one you found. Lets see what others on here think. HH

I THINK WE ARE OFF TRACK HERE, THE LID IS ABOUT 8 INCHES IN DIAMETER

Wood burning stove warmer lid. They swung down on a hinge above the cooking surface.

That's my guess.
