There really looks like some type of design on this side.

There could be still lots of gold wash remaining under the green verdigris.

Possible lemon/ juice treatment could really clean it up.

It has a suspension loop on the piece.

Roman Phaleras were a mounted medallion.

This item is probably late Georgian/early Victorian
