I was passing by a home and saw someone in the back where they had just removed an old tool shed. I talked with the owner for a long time and got the go ahead. My son came back with me while talked some more. I shoveled some dirt for his foundation and he offered the junk they had pulled out before they tore it down. Did some detecting and came back the next day to help clean out his other shed. I couldn’t believe all the stuff. Lots of junk but it will help stock my little antique store for the summer. Made a new friend with quite a few lots to still go over!! I hope you like the pictures. Quite a few hand forged pieces. 2 cans of (high grade) ore I can’t wait to go through, and a jar, maybe dust from a mill I don’t know Some mining related items. Lots of what’s its, which I will probably post. Lots of junk and lots of fun!! Summer full of digging in 1 day!!! Love it!!! My 12 year old son found this flower on Mother’s Day detecting. The button box had some nicer things. I hope you all are finding the good stuff!!! 41CE3BFC-4F6F-4FB6-9BA9-072B3973374F.webp29F79856-260D-4C47-BD14-CDF9EA8FD7DC.webp1318379C-BC23-47BE-A097-7F8240E8C0CC.webpB77D5A80-F21A-435A-8C57-B206C2976A9E.webp9AD284FA-74BB-4990-94E0-FCF9312B3845.webpA15F4499-FD4F-438D-A80A-9ACFE8379084.webp4EB08C17-B221-46B7-8B91-42948201C874.webp3166BC34-16B2-48D9-BCF8-A2657DB876AF.webpDD4F44BA-F364-4A3E-8188-875B563867D9.webp26F97758-2CE9-47A4-B90E-E9B6C8D10D4C.webpAC3BC7B8-1890-47BB-9C36-F10DADBF0618.webpED989700-82C9-46A1-8C1D-06117E5EA109.webpEDBF118D-9476-4226-A5B6-4C946B2B3C63.webpAD5AD8BF-B24B-49D5-A200-607A5E9D3F1D.webp96B5C82C-1893-4065-B77A-4DF4F6B94B2B.webpB6AC22DA-6ECF-4318-864E-EEA25FDB7176.webp

Great haul for your store! Congrats!!
Thanks pa-dirt, it’s a blessing to do what you love. It’s amazing what this hobby leads to. I enjoyed listening to old timer stories from the gentlemen. We talked about a local who passed away. He used to deliver milk to the red light district ladies. He was a cute little boy who knew how to hustle. He used to get gold pieces as tips back then!!! The ladies had plenty of money!

Congrats on the nice score...many cool items! :occasion14:

I was drooling from the get go, thanks Professor!

Excellent haul! My wife would kill me and I would be living in my shed if we did that! :laughing7:
If my wife reads this she might kill him and then me for even considering something like that

Excellent score!!
Thanks Rusty, I’ll be happy with this one for a while!

My wife knows I have been an outhouse digger from the get go, I push her limits but we are deep in love. I will pay for some of our vacation with the junk money. It adds up so fast!

Thats some interesting old stuff.... My girls who are all grown up and gone now old play house became a shed for all the stuff I can't seem to get rid of. I got get in and organize it some time and sell off some of the stuff I just haphazardly put here and there in it, but it is a solution to my out of sight out of mind issue with mama.
Don't scrap that Honda until you look it up. They are becoming thousands of $$$$$ What model and year is this one?

that looks like my mothers basement! I swear she had one of each of those.

They are actually very salable. Big demand from restoration people.

I thought that might be the idea. My mother has been telling me about how much she wants to find and restore one, but the ones I find I usually out in the middle of nowhere, so not that easy to get home.

The can of old insulators is neat too. I bet a lot of them are about 100 years old. If you can get some manufacturers marks off any of them, I might be able to put a date on some of them.

I’ve got some interesting ones, I’ll send you some pictures soon! I found an old dump where there were a few interesting porcelain electric pieces, thank you!

My Grandparents adobe garage was about the same also. He was a railroader, lots of junk metal! You all would get a kick out of the pictures of my sheds:)

Nice score, love the variety!

Me too! There is not too much old stuff around the old ghost towns left. I can’t imagine all the stuff that was taken out of these old buildings up here in the 60s and 70s. Once in a while someone will do a big clean out, and rare things start to appear.

i really love old doors and hardware!
