Sorry, old finds, new cleaning!

So has anyone seen these marks? I found it about 5 years ago but never cleaned it. I found civil war items there and wondered if it was from that period. Is this the wrong place?

I wouldn't think it is mid-1800s if it is stamped "sterling." Still a lovely little ring, though.

I think you are probably right, I was thinking around 1910-1930? But in reality it could be quite a bit newer. Thanks!
