Hiked a couple hours upstream from Folsom lake. All pan and crevice work. Gold in every pan!

It was good during the drought when the lake down at 349' elevation and CFS flow in the river was at 150. Now the lake is at 450 something and CFS is at 1350 daily. Bring your scuba gear.

Lake still goes back quite always into the canyon at least a mile or more up from the salmon Falls bridge.
Not much bedrock showing on the sides.
This is how I get up the canyon ! Only done I twice so far just to get comfortable with the extra weight in the kayak.
