Trying to figure out what this is.

. Fits in left hand comfortly.

Any visible signs or marks that it was made by man? It does not fit into the typical category of artifacts.

There are grooves at about 45 degrees on the front side.

Dose not look like a artifact, looks like natural occurring erosion.

Welcome to the forum. I agree with Mine Shaft that it is a natural shaped rock. Are you finding any flint/chert in the area?
