Sovereign GT stand - Where does it go on the machine?

I've searched threads on this forum and the internet and I still can not figure out where the Sovereign GT stand goes on the machine.

I've had this thing laying around for a few years and I still have no clue where or how it attaches to the machine.

Does it get clamped into the bottom half of the arm rest/cuff bracket and only used when the machine is hip-mounted?

Thanks, that makes sense.
My machine came with a straight shaft and the box is mounted up top behind the arm cuff, so it confused me why it would even come with the machine or where to use it on the machine.
