spanish cob found yesterday

I found this silver coin yesterday in the north of the Netherlands.
The coin is app. 3cm.

It appears to be that of a 4 or 8 reales...
It bears a simple cross...could be Spain, Potosi, Lima...not Mexico
Style of that castle can help in ID...but very time consuming to find out...
The condition of the obverse side is so badly corroded (poor photo) that I can't make out any details as to help you further in your ID...sorry.
You can either send a larger photo or post one...and that may help shed more detail to pin down information for you.

Picture "Cob1" is the Obverse side, and is in very bad shape. If you roll it about 60 degrees to the left it will be upright and easier to read, but not much. The X that you see is the upper right portion of a coat of arms. However, I am afraid that there is not enough detail left to provide much more information.

I took wreckdivers 60 degree spin.......
I think now, it is Spain Felipe II or III, Toledo, Seville, that type.
The castle...3 turrets, 4 second level sights, 3 door ways...center door is open with the exception of the bottom part of the Die.
I could make out the the Royal arms of Portugal in the shield...also it's position to Leon and Castille, 2 bars of Aragon, and Naples/Sicily...also, they are what looks many (5) Fleur-de-lis in the Burgundy (thanks Doc) position.

Just my thoughts and observations...
It is stll a great piece....whatever comes of it.

A gram weight may shed some light between a 4r and 8r.

A possible four reale 1571-1652 Potosi or early Lima, Greek Cross. Need the weight as already noted. Thin bars for Aragon, possible Philip IV.

How did you come to your ID?

Do you see the Royal arms of Portugal in the shield, it's there...rotate photo left as wreckdiver stated.
That will elimate Potosi and Lima from the ID...
