Got out with the wife today swinging the coils. Had a pretty good day. Hem weight, flat buttons, Barber quarter, buckles, 2 Indian cents one being a beautiful 1863 fatty, a New York excelsior button with great gold gilt left and the cool award of the day goes to the cast button of a Spanish real! Check out the seam on the back and where the very off center shank was. Was a little chilly out so took a little hot chocolate break :laughing7:

You two did some fine hunting together, I really like your finds. That excelsior button is fantastic.

Hi; I wouldn't know about that gel coat myself but I'll let the Mrs know ok. PEACE:RONB :laughing7:

Thanks guys, and thanks for the link Outdooradv.

Great finds. Hadn't seen the button before. Can't imagine if my wife was into this hobby...the "stuff that doesn't get done because of detecting" list wouldn't double, it would go up exponentially!

When it comes to getting out and detecting, everything else can wait :tongue3:

Looks like its copying a 175? Reale.

Coffee or Tea? Im kidding ..nice coins!

That's a killer group of finds. I believe e Steve of Pa has found a few of those facsimiles. Keep hammering that area man

Nice group of finds. The Spanish Coin button is significantly older than the other finds. I have 8 of them. Most of mine were cufflinks, including one linked pair.
