Greetings to All!

I am but a newbie with great genuine interest in learning as much as possible concerning everything to do with excavation of Spanish treasures located near marsh areas especially, but also interested in all water traps used eg springs, steams etc.
From what I have learnt in consideration to water sources coming from eg steams, one would need to locate and divert the particular water channel leading to the chamber, but how does one go about in dealing with a site that has it's source of water coming from a marsh area and what other dangers might be expected? I'd appreciate any info one is willing to share! Have a blessed day to you all!

Build a coffer dam if your Spanish target is worth it.
Welcome to treasurenet !!
Don.......
PS: I have assumed you have the proper permits and agreement with the landowner.

If you are in the USA be careful before disturbing wetlands/marshes or the EPA may ruin your whole day for violating the Clean Water Act that protects wetlands.

They would represent, by far, the biggest danger you might encounter.

Who's alias are you ? :laughing7:

Dunno about all what you asked.
Aside from be careful about peat bogs that can be present around a marsh.
Especially if Cedar trees grow there.
Peat bogs are one of the scariest natural wonders that you can have the displeasure of discovering!
I'm not afraid of nothing.
No man or beasts no nudda.

I'm terrified of peat bogs.
I discovered them at a young age.
The ground changes slightly when you are nearing a swamp/marsh area that has moving water, if a bog is present, in my part of the world anyways, there will be round tufts of long bladed grass. That is the only warning that you will get.
The ground one second is solid, the next it is liquid earth!
Its like stepping into a hole that you can't see!
I'd recommend carrying a four foot long 2x4 piece of lumber and carry parallel to your body.
That wood will save your life.
It won't fit and you won't almost die like I did..or worse.

I could tell you how to safely navigate those areas, but I consider it a trade secret lol

Thanks to all for assistance, as I'm in the tropics we don't have the same species of plants as the States, I have no worries about authority either. My plan is to wait for the dry season to hit in and when water levels are lowest start to excavate, though the area seems clear of large boulders above ground, it's what's under I ponder about. I know there must be some sort of water trap around being of Spanish, but I'd like to know how to locate it and avoid altogether if possible.

Welcome to our website, where you will learn a lot and make new friends. Good hunting and good luck.

Thanks have a good one!
