anwbody know exactly what radio shack speaker will fit or work? will whites sell me a new speaker and plastic lens/meter cover?

They sure will, but would rather you sent it off to them for expert repair. They'll check it out too to make sure it is working to spec. It's much better to make sure everything is working well so you not wasting the most valuabe thing you've got, TIME.
