Spoon markings?

I can tell this spoon has words on the back but I can't read them. Any ways on how to clean it without damaging the letters so I can read it? It looks like it was silver plated and the silver wore off? Any info would be appreciated, thanks

Try using powder and a magnifying glass. Unfortunately it looks pretty toasted another one for the copper bucket! HH
