Hi All,
I went back to the my old faithful and heavily pounded boatyard,
this time I used the big gun, Coiltek 15", it's a monster, but it really goes deep when you crank up the sens a bit
I like this old piece of silver, found way down in the yellow clay beneath the mud.
No makers mark, no silver or hallmarks,
Just the shield, pair of cornucopias, and a flower.
It has a crude rectangular cross section near the bowl,
and a downturned handle end.
Not slip, trefid, dognose, or hanoverian.
Maybe modern, but with no markings, US made before 1909 anyway.
I've looked at hundreds of patterns trying to date this piece
It is my favorite Silver Spoon dug so far.
Thanks for looking & HH everyone
