saw these from the tractor that i was driving
one barely used shaft abrader
two bone scrapers.........the big one is a buffalo scapula
the smaller one is more of a gouge type scraper
i tried to take a picture of the polished working end of it and it is not very sharp

Nice! More farmers should practice tractor hunts. I have a cousin that said he wished he had a dollar for every arrowhead he saw and plowed over. I wish he had a knot on his head for each one.

Nice finds larson. The cold ND winters sure keep them in pristine condition.

thank you rusty my man.......you know they are not actually 'tractor hunts'..............................
.....but just sayin' when i am running the 1957 john deere model 720 diesel i am goin' about 2-3 miles per hour and my eyes are mostly on the ground..scanning everything....
.........and i have actually found an awful lotta stuff ike that......ya know i hate it when i'm trying to get stuff done and i keep seeing something....
.........then i stop and climb down 3/4th's of the time it ain't nothin'....then gotta climb back up on the tractor......that's what i have to do (just so i don't miss something)

Larson..., call it what you will. Up and down and up and down on the tractor is a tractor hunt. It happens to me as well. Lol! It used to make my grandad so mad when I'd dive off of the planter. He was the one that coined that term, in regards to my efficiency as a farm hand. Now that I'm older, it gives work a less dreaded, fun sound. It keeps me from dragging my feet and I go ahead and do my work. Lol! I was kidding you. I know you are a hard worker. If a dash of play can be added to a job, why not throw it in. Life is short and we need to start enjoying every second of it. If it takes all day to drag your duck foot, oh well! You found some fun in dragging it and to finish the job tomorrow ensures another fun work day. Larson you have style. By the way, where has Kelly been hiding?

Got some keepers I see. When I hunt the field I drive real slow to where I park and hang my head out the window looking. Sometimes it takes me a while to get to where I will park cause I keep seeing stuff along the way.

You need a giant Larson Mojo flipping stick that you can use from the tractor and a pair of binoculars. Nice Mr Larson. :occasion14:

Cool Finds! :icon_thumleft: Been there, done that, after a lot of ''on and off'' the tractor, it kind of gets tiring. But the rewards can be quite rewarding. Your job may take a little longer. A farmer friend of mine noticed a KRF corner-notched go under as he was plowing, he quickly stopped and spent about fourty five minuets searching until he found it. That Knife River Flint knife was the most perfect, and clearest piece of flint that I have ever seen. It was a museum quality corner-notched knife, and if I remember right it was a good four inches in length. Thanks for sharing Steve!
