They are beautiful!

The blackberry....now that brings back memories from when I was a kid living in Porum OK.
We lived in the country between Porum and Warner. I remember picking berries with my cousin Barbara.
A very long time ago.

We have a 'summer tradition', (Blackberry Cobbler), with vanilla ice cream on top.
Also, we usually can several jars of 'Blackberry jelly'.

My husband doesn't like the Locust trees--he calls them "Jesus trees" with all those thorns and says they are horrible to ride horseback through while chasing cattle!

Thanks, the 'locust trees' are rough to get around in, but they make great fence posts, (long lasting don't rot so fast).
I have heard the older Choctaws planted them around their houses for 'Good Luck'.
