Pushing snow the last 23 hours here in Iowa had me thinking one good thing spring runoff .Here is a early spring flooding hunt. The nearby river briefly reclaimed its old channel route and then some it was like looking back in time out of context of corse when the waters receeded.Fresh in silt several fire pits, broken stones, pottery, points,a would have been sweet axe and an array of debataige covered the old shoreline for a good 15 acre stretch. The center or bulk of camp got hit hard but didnot erode so much I think its because the native foot traffic has it packed down so hard, a discoloration in the soil is present as well amazing to me .

Cool Finds! :icon_thumleft: Looks like they reworked that first one into a drill, and it's a bummer on that axe.

Got a good variety of artifacts in that hunt.

Thanks for sharing Iowatrout. Too bad about that axe. It would have been a smoker! I sure hope this year goes better than last for you!
