The Standing Liberty Eludes Me More then any
other Type of Coin.
They seem Rare as far as Digging them Goes

I did not know that silver could rust. Should I be digging iron signals with my metal detector?

no the rust on silver isn't the same as
other items and shouldn't effect things.

only dig iron accidently
till you learn your detector
