I plan on heading up to Emerald Creek here in Idaho next weekend. I figure I will try out the site they set up initially. Has anyone had luck in the area? I would like to get "off the grid" so to speak and do some searching solo. I feel at this time of year the site may be a bit picked over and over crowded. I would love to hear your opinions and experiences if you have been up to Emerald Creek in search of garnets!

I live in southern Idaho. have never dug garnets on Emerald Ck, but hope you have some great luck. Most of the garnets I have recovered have been in Wyoming...mostly really clear pyropes. Post some pics if you find any.
