The Republica coin on the right is a 1/2 real (silver) if 16mm; minted in either 1844 or '45 (shown on the reverse side).
The coin could also be a 1 real if 20mm; minted in 1834, '44, '45 or 55. The 1/2 has greater value.
The coin on the left is a State Copper 1/4 real , 28mm minted in the years 1860, 61, 65 and 66.
Jorgeke, glad to see you are swinging and finding again.

Both coins look to be copper

Great finds. I like those coins. You always post some great old places you're hunting. They always look like places that would be full of snakes. Hope you ever get one trying to bite you. Yikes!

Republica coins issued by Chihuahua in all denominations ( 1/4, 1/2, 1, 2 and 8 reales) were all issued in sliver. (10Ds 20Gs)
The 1/4 real State Copper is, of course, issued in copper.

Wow, that sure is dried out clay! You can check it out: pig tracks are rounded in the front, deer are sharp like the ones you are posting.

I really like the quality of your pictures. Outstanding job.

if that's AZ or NM , likely a Coues deer track
