Star with moon and think before you drink AA Token

Once again, a day i will soon forget. 3 hours of hunting and NO rain! A new world record here in NC! Still, i had a pretty good time.
The High of the day came when i saw this in the hole. For a moment, that glint of gold pushed the old ticker into my throat!
I believe its an AA token. The other side says Think Before you Drink


But today was not the day...maybe tomorrow or the next day or next month or next year or who knows...maybe never. But if i ever do pop a gold coin, I hope my heart can take it!

I also found this interesting star. Not sure what the moon inside the star means. Maybe witchcraft?
It looks to be made of pot metal


Other than those two items, everything else was pretty much typical MD finds.
I do like the old spoon...it looks to be pretty old.

LOL That Tejon is a beast! The reason i sold it is because it was not getting the use it deserved. Once i get a new detector the others tend to become closet queens.
As for cleaning the finds? The AA token is made of aluminum so it just washed off and the star got a dab of dawn dish soap with a light toothbrush scrub.

Speaking of cleaning! I discovered ammonia last week. LOL i even played with CLR and even toilet bowl cleaners. Interesting results with them all depending on the item being cleaned.

I agree...the house was built in 1912 and i believe the company that made the spoon started in 1901. Considering the age of the house i suspect the spoon was likely purchased at about the same time or within a few years of when the house was built.
